Meet Our Employees
Clinical Coordinator for Outpatient Rehabilitation Department
Inova Loudoun Hospital
What brought you to Inova?
After working in private physical therapy clinics, I wanted the opportunity to work in a hospital environment where I could collaborate with speech and occupational therapists. I wanted a wide-angled view, from inpatient and acute inpatient to outpatient procedures, to gain a better understanding of all aspects of rehab.
What’s your average day like at Inova?
That really depends on the day. I still see some patients, and I do staff meetings. Right now, there’s a heavy focus on program development, both for patients and employees. We’re constantly looking for new ways to improve the quality of care we provide to our patients.
What are you most proud of in your tenure at Inova?
Building the team of people that I currently work with. We all work together to help each other improve and get our patients better, quicker. If you ask the employees here, they’ll say this is really the best time. We’re all in it together, and it’s such a positive, encouraging environment. It’s a great feeling.
How would you describe your workplace?
We have a very small-community feel. A good example is that recently we had a challenging security issue. During the process, news of the problem reached the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). He dropped everything to stay late and address our concerns. It was an incredible feeling to know that everyone up the chain of command is supporting us.
What advice would you give someone considering Inova?
I will probably end up taking my last working day here, so I definitely encourage people to explore opportunities available at Inova. I’ve worked at other places in my career, and we have a sense of family and community you just don’t find anywhere else.
