How does Inova support your career development?
I was accepted into Inova’s 21st Century Leadership Development Program, which, to me, is really the gold standard. It has completely changed my outlook on life and careers. And it’s right here with our own people. We have the leaders who build future leaders.
What’s your average day like at Inova?
I have to keep my finger on the pulse of the industry at all times. If it’s the busy season, I’m wearing flat shoes and my phone rings a lot. There are a ton of events going on, and my job is about logistics, organizing staff and presentation materials, and making sure everything is aligned so we have an engaged client. Other times, I’m focused on research to stay on top of new trends and developments.
What’s your team like?
My team is a group of nurses and health educators from several different fields. They bring their expertise and experience to the bigger picture. It’s a very dynamic team, and we receive callbacks every year booking the next year’s screenings and presentations. We have plenty of competition in the area, too, but clients know they aren’t going to get what we provide anywhere else.
Do you use Inova’s employee benefits?
I love, love, love the backup daycare system. Inova has a partnership with Bright Horizons, and you get 20 days a year. It helps with the work/life juggle knowing your kids are two miles away in a safe, accredited environment. That is by far the best benefit for me.
